It took me a couple of weeks to compile this list, as I discover new blogs everyday that I think are amazing and knock a favourite of the list, but I think these are ones I seem to come back to, either regularly, or once in a while.
So here are my favourite (for this week anyway) blogs, in no particular order.
The Society Inc is written by Sibella Court and “is home to hardware & haberdashery & a treasure trove of oddities and curiosities collected whilst globetrotting & adventuring into terrains less trodden.” Essentially its all of her adventures and the wonderful things she finds. Apart from being visually beautiful, it makes me want to get out there and see the wold some more!!
Pia Jane Bijkerk “is an internationally acclaimed stylist, photographer and author specializing in interiors, still life & food.” Her blog is full of beautiful and inspiring things, and her book “My Heart Wanders” is one of my all time favs to flick through while I’m having a cup of tea
Well, who doesn’t love The Design Files!! It “covers Australian design in all its forms – from architecture and interiors to art, craft, graphic design and illustration”. Although sometimes it makes me feel like a teenager who’s just moved out of home living amongst a rubble of mess when I SHOULD, of course, be living in an architecturally designed home with a nanny and a pool. *sigh*
I adore VSCO’s blog. Again, its full of inspiration and beautiful photography from all over the world. It covers amazing workspaces, a weekly showcase of amazing instagram images, and wonderful interviews 😉 (Like the one below)
The Road is Home is a beautifully written blog by a young mother who happens to be an amazing photographer. I encourage you to spend some time getting to know her and her little family.
Mr & Mrs Globetrot is another visually beautiful blog written by American husband and wife photography team The Manchiks. I love reading about their adventures and browsing enviously through their images!
Humans of New York is AWESOME!!! One man essentially walks around the streets of New York photographing portraits of whomever and whatever catches his eye. He will almost always ask his subject a general sort of a question, and each answer or story that goes with each image are inspiring, sometimes thought provoking, always beautiful. I follow him on facebook and I love reading through the comments of how others perceive the stories and images, and the debates that ensue. So interesting to read other peoples thoughts and beliefs, and how they defend them on social media.
The Middle Finger Project was reccommended to me by a friend a few weeks ago. Its a funny and resourceful blog that “helps small business owners get it together–from everything you need to know to get started, to branding, to marketing, to sales strategies, and everything in between, like how to do things legally, and how to get your accounting in order” Did I mention its funny!? She’s a brilliant writer!
Book by its Cover. I adore this blog. Its beautiful and I could get lost in it for hours. Thanks to my sister, Lucy, for sending its link my way!
The Daily Smudge is written by a very clever, dear friend of mine from my school days. Its a blog all about her favourite things, which just happen to be all my favourite things as well!!!!
Datafication is fun! Its a quirky way of explaining how Australian social media works. Best viewed on a desktop as it doesn’t have the same effect on a smart phone.
The Healthy Chef is one of my recipe go to blogs.
The Sprouted Kitchen is another great food blog. I don’t often cook from there, but the photographs and layout is beautiful!
And last of all, my son Harry has started his very own blog, I Am Harry Hogan. Its heavily supervised of course, and only has one entry, but I couldn’t not include it!
I know there are more than 10, but lets just say that 10 is a guideline. 😉 Next I want to give you my list of fav children’s books, but that really hard as I have a million and 7.
What are you fav blogs?
What other top 10’s would you like to know about?
