Back in June I left my little family alone for the very first time and travelled to New York. I absolutely adore this city and everything about it. I wandered around galleries, sipped coffee in peace, drank wine in the meatpacking district, shopped, saw broadway shows, gazed at the city light sprawled beneath me from the top of the Empire State Building, walked The Highline, stood gobsmacked in Times Square, and rode push bikes through Central Park . I won’t babble on for pages about the details, because I don’t think I could find the words. But I would like to show you all some of the things I saw, and hopefully they will be my words.
Actually, the heading of this blog post should probably read: “I went to New York and took a million & 7 photos with my iPhone”, as 98.3% of these images are taken with that handy little camera which, I’ll be honest, I would curl up and die without. So would you, don’t deny it.
One or 2 of these were taken by my epic roomies, Samm & Dan,with whom there is never a dull moment and provided many a belly laugh; one or 2 by Tasj, my beautiful new friend whom I unknowingly travelled across the universe to meet and am so grateful for the time I got to spend with her and her love, Des; And a couple were taken by my adventure companion, Kell, who every day made me laugh, and who helped teach me a little bit more about myself. I’m very thankful to have her in my life.
Beautiful, amazing New York, how I love you!
It was indeed a brilliant adventure……
